Are Shoe Lifts Bad for Your Back

When I was younger back in college, I used to roll socks and stick them in my shoes to gain around 1 1/2 inches in height. It was actually good because the socks mold according to your feet's shape and position so it becomes very comfortable. However, it is not very discreet when you take it your shoes off.

When I was taking my masters, I started to look at shoes from Internet to make me taller so I bought a pair of shoes and I was given the option about the thickness of the shoe lifts. At first, I thought I had to buy shoes in order to get the lifts, but I discovered this wasn't the case. So I started ordering just the lifts and used them for my other shoes.

The lifts were perfect when I used them with my other shoes but the only problem is that my shoes became so tight. So I started buying shoes 1/2 inch bigger than my actual shoe size. This solved the problem.

I also discovered that I can stack a shoe lift on top of another so if I buy two 1-inch lifts, I can stack them together and gain additional 2 inches in height. I usually buy the black ones because they are not as obvious.

I did not really feel any bad side effect when I wore the shoe lifts. My back or knees were perfectly fine. Of course however, I had problem with running or walking long distances. Basically, I had no problems with them in indoor activities, such as bars, clubs, church, school, office, etc.

Other problems with shoe lifts are psychological and emotional. Once you get used to your height with the lifts on, it's going to be hard for you to get rid of them not only because your used to them, but also because people around you are used to your height. So it would look funny to them if all of a sudden you become shorter. So lifts have their pros and cons.

Use them wisely.

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any tips for novice blog writers? I'd really appreciate it.elevator shoes
